Beachwood Blendery has been pushing boundaries in Southern California craft beer for years, thanks to its prodigious barrel-aging program and funky, often fruity finished styles. This is the spot to take craft beer nerds after a day at the beach — or, really, anyone who enjoys a little sour, tartness, and funk in their brews. Homage is the type of brewery for those who like things a bit chill. This is an intimate spot on the northeast edge of Chinatown where bartenders draw the tap for hoppy and malty lagers or ales, saisons, and a small but excellent wine list. The kitchen serves small bites too at both this location and in Pomona. San Pedro’s own Brouwerij West is a modern-day craft success story, going from a small brewing operation into one of the area’s coolest places to hang out and sip beer.
Rehearsal Dinner

We had a wedding rehearsal dinner, they hosted 24 people, service and food was great. This was my first time visiting this location. Tyler was our server and he was personable, efficient and made excellent recommendations. We serve our full dinner menu every day from 4pm until 9pm. Sure, it would be great if we could just be nice and positive all the time and the food just made itself.
Highland Park Brewery
As impressive as the space is, the beer is even better. Don’t miss the top-selling Dog Ate My Homework—a purplish, juicy blackberry saison—or Popfuji, a malty, refreshing unfiltered pilsner. If you think you took a wrong turn and ended up in a warehouse yard, you’re at the right place. Boomtown Brewing is the most fun thing happening on this extra-industrial block of the Arts District, and somewhere you can fit a lot of people on a weekend afternoon. Between an alleyway and two giant warehouses, there’s plenty of seating.
Common Space Brewery and Tasting Room
But it doesn’t, so we focus on getting orders quickly and correctly, and making the food fast and delicious. This cult-favorite craft brewer has been cultivating long lines and deep fandom for years, and since the pandemic began has turned its Torrance brewery space into a semi-shaded, cozy outdoor hangout. We serve our lunch menu every day from 11am until 4pm. Any place that sells marked-up bottles and bowls of olives can call itself a wine bar. These 17 spots prove the genre can be a whole lot more. I stopped into this restaurant for an early lunch.
And that sauce, side, or soup you love? Just ask, and we’ll give you the recipe, so you can share it with your family and friends. All Season Brewing in Mid-Wilshire is geographically central, making it an easy place to bring together people who live on opposite sides of the city.
Never a bad experience

Here now are 19 places to enjoy excellent craft beer in Los Angeles right now. One of the smallest breweries on this guide, Frogtown feels a bit like you’re hanging out in your friend’s garage, except there’s an industrial brewing set-up instead of an unused homebrew kit. The Lites Out pilsner is ideal if you’re there in the daytime (it’s only 4.1% ABV), but there's also a good selection of hazy and milkshake IPAs if you want to kick things up a bit in the evening. There's usually a food truck on-site most evenings, but you can also bring in food—on weekend afternoons our move is to walk over to Wax Paper right up the block for a post-pilsner sandwich.
Food and drinks excellent
We help each other, because teamwork is the best way to run a successful restaurant. We help you, because that’s what we’re here for. And we help our community, because we’re all in this together. We can’t make your day better without listening to you. The better we are at listening, the better we will be at getting you exactly what you need to make your day better. Our number one core value, we think it’s the most important.
Beachwood Blendery
We serve our full dinner menu every day from 4pm until 10pm. We serve select appetizers and desserts from 10pm until close. The atmosphere was very nice and clean! The service was great and the food was exceptional! The ribs were delightful with a flavorful sauce and the fish tacos were filling and delicious.
Three Weavers Brewing Company
There's a solid menu of bar snacks menu with things like burgers and wings to fish sandwiches and kimchi, all way better than they need to be. This is where you should be drinking hoppy pilsners before a Dodgers game. If you’ve spent much time in the South Bay, you’ve probably driven past LA Ale Works' taproom in Hawthorne, a few blocks from SpaceX (and right across the street from another solid brewery, Common Space). Ale Works is a good spot to host a party when you don't know how many people will show up. The massive warehouse tends to be full of 30-somethings gathered to discuss cryptocurrency or watch sports, and there's a great collection of IPAs, lagers, stouts, and sours to carry everyone through the night. There’s no food inside, but there’s usually vendors selling pizza, tacos, and burgers out front.

Progress Brewing is a big deal for El Monte, the bedroom community east of Downtown Los Angeles. Crisp classics and unique newcomers (try the Sandia Loca, a blonde ale with watermelon and chamoy) play nicely here. Though many know Montebello’s shipping container food hall for the food, there’s a handy tasting room tucked away in the back. It’s always a pro move to place an order — especially the fairly new Chicano eatery SolRad — and order Honest Abe’s Mexican lollipop brew with watermelon and spice. The sweeping architectural lines of this historic building help to tell a tale about adaptive reuse in Los Angeles. But the beers do their own talking, winning IPA awards and other accolades.
We carefully curate our list to make sure we always have the best beers available. We also do special events like beer dinners, special lineups, and more. Check out our Facebook page or Twitter and we’ll keep you up to date. They’ll set you up with a sampler and talk your ear off about it. It’s something we love, and we want to share it with you.
Melissa was a fantastic server and a great time. MacLeod is a standard-bearer for the San Fernando Valley beer scene and opened in Highland Park in October 2022. The place specializes in traditional English styles and has continued to push boundaries with its food (including a big pizza focus) over the past few years, as well. All this adds up to what we believe to be the best casual dining experience in Charlottesville. But that’s not for us to decide – it’s your call. Let us know what you think, because we’re always listening.
We should be nice in every interaction, whether it’s with a coworker, a guest, or someone else. Everything I’ve tried so far has been good. We serve our lunch menu Monday through Sunday from 11am until 4pm.
